Illustrator Needed to Develop Brand Characters

About the Role

We are seeking a creative illustrator who can collaboratively build and shape the story of a brand through compelling character designs. This job entails crafting two distinct characters that embody themes of awareness, tranquility, and playfulness in everyday life.

Characters to be Created

• A curious and inquisitive cat
• A meditative monk who represents calm and centeredness

Application Process

Applicants should submit initial concept sketches comprising three rough drafts each for both the cat and the monk characters. Only those whose style and vision align with the brand will be contacted further.

Selection and Project Details

The selected illustrator will receive a formal commission as a prize-winning project with a budget of AUD 1,000. Following initial character development, this project will expand into creating ten different poses based on these two core characters. This is not merely an illustration task but an opportunity to cultivate and nurture the brand’s entire worldview through collaborative creativity.

This position is based in Sydney, Australia, offered by The Zen Concept. Basic conversational English skills are required. Eligible candidates include those on working holiday, student, business, citizenship, tourist, or other visa types.
