IT Data Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a meticulous and solution-oriented IT Data Analyst to enhance data utilization across Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft 365 platforms. This role involves practical data analytics, creation of reports, elevating data quality, and implementing data security measures. The candidate will transform operational, inventory, and supply chain data into actionable insights while ensuring proper classification, governance, protection, and retention of sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, validate, and analyze data within Microsoft Dynamics products, with a preference for experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management or Finance & Operations.
• Develop and manage Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and data pipelines supporting teams in Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Procurement, and Warehouse.
• Collaborate closely with managers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to translate business questions into reliable data solutions.
• Design, document, and maintain scalable, precise data models that are easily interpreted by business users.
• Identify and address data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, suggest improvements, and help sustain trustworthy data sources.
• Document reporting logic, data flows, recurring procedures, security setups, and provide ongoing support.

Data Security and Governance

• Assist in managing Microsoft 365 data security controls, including sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention policies, access reviews, retention policies, auditing, eDiscovery, and Microsoft Purview tools.
• Classify business data according to sensitivity, value, retention requirements, and access rules.
• Contribute to data security architecture for storage, sharing, reporting, and collaboration on Microsoft 365, Dynamics, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other platforms.
• Examine access patterns and permissions to ensure information is accessible appropriately without excessive exposure.
• Support the establishment of governance standards for datasets, documents, secure collaboration spaces, and mission-critical data sources.

Required Qualifications

• Professional background as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent with exposure to ERP, operational, inventory, or supply chain datasets.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, strongly favoring Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management or Finance & Operations experience.
• Advanced Power BI capabilities including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report creation, and mindful dataset optimization.
• Preferred experience in writing SQL queries and engaging with relational databases or structured business data.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features such as Purview, sensitivity labeling, DLP, information protection, auditing, retention, and eDiscovery.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and dedication to ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and usability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications like PL-300, MB-920, SC-400, SC-200 or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, or Azure Logic Apps.
• Understanding of finance, inventory, procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain processes in operational environments.
• Knowledge of data privacy, record retention, information security best practices, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR.
