Role Overview
We seek a proficient IT Engineer to architect and supervise our expanding device infrastructure. This role involves managing device lifecycle from acquisition to decommission, ensuring smooth user experiences globally, and acting as the chief technical support for team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee device and application management by administering Mobile Device Management (MDM), coordinating device logistics internationally, and optimizing provisioning processes. Develop strategies for application deployment including scripting remote installation, updates, and configurations.
- Enhance security by formulating and executing device management policies, handling network configurations, managing platform access controls, administering password managers and compliance tools, and establishing secure credentialing frameworks.
- Automate onboarding workflows to provide new hires with access to hardware, software, and communication platforms efficiently, aligning with prospective SSO/SCIM integration.
- Create and maintain an internal IT helpdesk to provide effective issue resolution, develop self-help resources, diagnose complex technical problems, and guarantee uninterrupted tool access for staff.
- Implement and manage IT asset tracking systems for hardware, software, and licenses to maintain inventory accuracy, compliance, and optimal resource deployment.
- Design scalable systems and automate operations to support company growth, including managing office IT infrastructure such as video conferencing and network setups.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and other teams to assess and fulfill technical requirements.
Qualifications
- A motivated, problem-solving mindset with strong interpersonal skills is valued more than experience.
- Experience in technical support or helpdesk roles with a proven track record resolving hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with device management tools (e.g., JumpCloud), compliance platforms (e.g., Vanta), and access management across Microsoft, cloud services, and Google Admin.
- Experience automating onboarding and IT process workflows.
- Understanding of device networking principles and management.
- Exemplary organizational skills for managing device logistics globally.
- Excellent communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly.
- Preferable: Experience establishing IT departments or leading IT projects from start to finish.
