HCL Technologies, a global leader in next-generation technology solutions, is seeking a skilled Java with Quarkus Technical Specialist to join their team based in Hyderabad, India. This role involves designing and developing resilient backend services tailored for a microservices environment, primarily using Java 17+ and Quarkus framework. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices leveraging Java 17+ and Quarkus framework.
• Create containerized applications with Docker and manage their deployment on Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and manage real-time event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), and configure security through Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Produce secure, maintainable, and high-quality code abiding by banking industry standards and SWIFT CSP compliance.
• Engage in code reviews, architectural planning, and agile team ceremonies.
• Optimize application monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
• Develop user interface components with React-based Interstellar framework and TypeScript, ensuring smooth backend integration.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) with JUnit and Mockito for backend testing and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for functional and UI testing using Cucumber.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Java and the Quarkus framework for backend services.
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices architectures employing Kafka.
• Proficient in container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and database orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development on Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like IDP, Harness, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Front-end development experience using React-based Interstellar framework and TypeScript, integrating securely with backend systems.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices especially in banking environments adhering to SWIFT CSP compliance.
• Competent in unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and functional UI testing frameworks (Cucumber).
• Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Reactive Programming techniques to create scalable systems.
• Domain knowledge in SWIFT payment systems; experience with SWIFT interfaces like AMH and SAA is preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud architecture, migration, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for complex modular software systems.
• Performance testing experience using tools such as JMeter.
• Expertise in monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
• Understanding of security and compliance standards related to SWIFT CSP.

Additional Information

This position is full-time and based onsite in Hyderabad, India. Applicants should be graduates from any discipline. The remuneration range offered is between 3,500,000 and 4,000,000 INR annually. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams and a focus on maintaining the highest software quality and security standards in the banking domain.
