Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 3 to 5 years of specialized experience in façade-related projects, focusing on aluminum and glazing works. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in verifying Bills of Quantities (BOQ), conducting quantity take-offs, estimating costs, managing variation orders, handling progress billings, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing commercial management from project inception through completion.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline.
• At least 3 to 5 years of direct experience as a Quantity Surveyor specifically within façade or aluminum and glazing projects.
• Proficient understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity calculations, cost estimation, and contract administration processes.
• Hands-on experience with progress billing, managing variation orders, and generating commercial reports.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD applications.
• Strong analytical abilities complemented by effective communication and coordination skills.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately verify BOQs against subcontractor packages and contractual agreements.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and develop cost estimations for projects.
• Oversee material delivery schedules and track installation progress on site.
• Maintain ongoing collaboration with project managers, site engineers, logistics personnel, and technical teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Draft monthly progress claims and manage payment applications effectively.
• Evaluate drawing changes thoroughly and prepare corresponding variation orders.
• Assess subcontractor claims and negotiate change orders diligently.
• Compile monthly cost and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports for management review.
• Maintain comprehensive records of payments, interim applications, and related project documentation.
• Monitor overall project progress, profitability, and commercial performance metrics.
