Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Pipe Layer based in Columbia, TN. This role involves working with ductile pipe installations in storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains as part of commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install ductile pipes used in stormwater and sewage systems, as well as water mains.
• Carry out various tasks including grading trenches or culverts, correctly positioning pipes, and sealing joints to ensure secure pipe placement.
• Frequently lift materials weighing up to 75 pounds during positioning and installation activities.
• Perform physical labor involving shoveling and trench digging consistent with commercial pipe laying operations.
• Strictly observe safety guidelines and maintain a drug-free workplace environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferred two years of experience specifically in commercial construction pipe laying.
• Mandatory experience working with underground ductile iron piping systems.
• Physical capability to lift items up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for long durations during work shifts.
