QA Lead

Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and quality-centric QA Lead with 4 to 5 years of experience, primarily in Manual Testing of Web Applications and some Automation Testing exposure. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of top-notch software by thoroughly validating business workflows and identifying defects early.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements, user stories to understand application behavior and define the testing scope.
• Create, review, and maintain detailed test plans, scenarios, cases, and test data to guarantee exhaustive test coverage.
• Execute various manual testing types including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing across web platforms.
• Validate complete business workflows and user journeys on different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Perform defect identification, document outcomes, and conduct root cause analysis to uphold software quality.
• Use defect management tools (e.g., Jira) for logging, tracking, verifying, and retesting issues ensuring prompt resolution.
• Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and tackle issues.
• Actively engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Conduct database validations via SQL queries to verify backend data consistency.
• Perform API testing utilizing Postman or REST Assured to verify service request and response behavior.
• Assist with automation efforts by developing or running Selenium WebDriver automation scripts when applicable.
• Carry out regression testing for new software releases and alterations to ensure stability of existing functionalities.
• Enforce adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and best practices throughout SDLC and STLC.
• Generate and maintain test execution logs, defect metrics, summary reports, and other vital QA documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase testing efficiency and product quality.
• Keep abreast of emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance testing capabilities continuously.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4 to 5 years of professional QA experience with emphasis on Manual Testing in Web Application domains.
• Working knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver is preferred.
• Experience with database testing using SQL and API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira.
• Prior involvement in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail orientation skills.
