Quality Control Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Engineer with experience in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector, specifically in backend operations and customer complaint management. This role requires end-to-end involvement in ensuring that products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee verification of product conformance and ensure timely shipment approvals without compromise.
• Manage backend production processes such as integration, box build assembly, testing, programming, packing, and outgoing quality assurance (OQA).
• Lead and supervise a team of 15 personnel effectively.
• Handle first-time and hourly approval processes for in-process and finished components.
• Conduct process audits, product audits, and fulfill customer-specific validations including certifications like UL and Intertek.
• Participate actively in internal meetings aimed at resolving assembly or manufacturing line issues.
• Ensure adherence to customer requirements, company quality policies, regulatory guidelines, and external standards.
• Manage customer complaints by understanding and analyzing issues empathetically from the customer perspective.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective measures at all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on customer yield.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in the EMS industry, especially with backend operations and customer complaint handling.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a mid-sized team.
• Familiarity with process audits, product audits, and customer validation audits such as UL and Intertek certifications.
• Good analytical skills for root cause analysis and quality problem solving.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and participate in solution-driven meetings.
