Job Overview

Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking a highly driven and dedicated Resource Superintendent to join the Mineral Resources Management team at the Lumwana Mining Company. Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation and supervision of Mineral Resources on-site, ensuring compliance with international reporting standards that effectively support mine planning and decision-making.
• Provide expert technical guidance to the Resource Geology team, promoting the production of geologically accurate resource and rolling grade control models.
• Manage mine-to-mill reconciliation efforts to maintain model accuracy within ±5% margin and update models based on operational feedback.
• Ensure strict adherence to NI 43-101 reporting standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls across all resource processes.
• Facilitate integration among Exploration, Resource Geology, and Mine Planning teams to maintain consistency in geological interpretations, domaining, and block model transitions.
• Oversee Data Quality Management procedures to guarantee the integrity of data used in resource and grade control model updates.
• Drive the generation and optimization of grade control block models in alignment with operational strategies.
• Provide on-the-job training and structured mentorship for junior geologists, supporting their professional growth and alignment with group standards.
• Contribute to open pit mine planning by delivering reliable block models that enable accurate orebody valuation.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within the life-of-mine plan to support ongoing process improvements and maximize long-term value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Exploration, Mining, Survey, Mine Planning, and Processing to improve operational integration.
• Lead the Mineral Resources reporting cycle, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports with comprehensive mine-to-mill reconciliation.
• Oversee assessment of additional deposits or satellite opportunities, managing drilling strategies, block model development, economic evaluation, and mine plan incorporation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Geology is essential; a Master’s degree in Geology is advantageous.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in geology, mining, and resource estimation is required.
• Proven leadership abilities and confidence in guiding resource estimation workflows, demonstrating senior-level experience.
