About the Role
Strider Robotics Private Limited is seeking a skilled Robotics Technician specializing in mechanical aspects to join their team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have practical mechanical expertise and a passion for assembling, servicing, and maintaining cutting-edge robotic systems. This position involves close collaboration with the engineering team during the assembly, testing, deployment, and on-site support of robotic platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical assembly and integration of robotic systems, including subassemblies and structural parts.
- Assemble and service critical mechanical components such as drivetrains, suspension systems, actuators, gearboxes, bearings, and transmission units.
- Install, align, calibrate, and commission robotic platforms.
- Diagnose mechanical failures using inspection techniques and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure robotic systems operate reliably.
- Support the building of prototypes, field trials, testing, and validation processes.
- Perform on-site installation, servicing, repairs, and provide technical support at customer sites.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation accurately.
- Manage workshop tools, maintain inventory of spare parts, and keep service records updated.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational background in ITI, Diploma, or related mechanical disciplines.
- Prior experience in mechanical assembly or robotics is an advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including fasteners, bearings, gear trains, actuators, and power transmission components.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, torque instruments, and precision measuring devices.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
- Willingness to travel for field support, installations, and servicing tasks.
