Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the self-checkout zones, ensuring the area is free from debris, objects, and spills.
• Guide customers in effectively using self-service checkout stations to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Inform customers about various company programs such as credit card services, product warranties, and charitable initiatives when relevant.
• Monitor customer activity to identify when assistance or interventions are necessary, providing polite and helpful support.
• Explain the purpose of quality checks and interventions on the self-checkout process, reassuring customers that these measures are standard procedure.
• Handle electronic article surveillance alarms and accurately complete the “Failure to Deactivate” logs as required.
• Notify the Customer Service Manager about cash shortages or technical problems in the self-service area promptly.
• Ensure Scan & Go devices are returned to their proper location after customers finish using them.

Remuneration

The starting wage for this position is $15.50 per hour.

• Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
