Role Overview - Senior Consultant - Data

Slalom's Data practice focuses on embedding intelligence within organizations, constructing systems that generate insights and foster continuous learning. We assist clients in building world-class data infrastructures utilizing:

• Cutting-edge data platforms and architecture designed for scalability and future-proofing to maximize data asset value
• Real-time and streaming data solutions enabling instant insights through event-driven and continuous processing methods
• Machine learning and AI implementations to automate decisions and spark innovation
• Data engineering best practices involving DataOps for high-quality, reliable data delivery
• Comprehensive data strategies aligning initiatives with business goals and crafting robust data architectures
• Specialized data technologies tailored to unique challenges and use cases

Key Responsibilities

• Design and provide cloud-based modern data architectures and advanced analytics solutions addressing complex business issues
• Develop innovative data platforms and solid data models to help organizations effectively manage enterprise data for insightful analytics
• Serve as a senior data & analytics expert liaising with stakeholders and influencing senior leadership via clear, client-focused solutions
• Lead project planning and delivery across various industries by converting intricate data problems into actionable and measurable business outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create marketing content, reusable frameworks, and thought leadership reflecting emerging trends and client scenarios
• Promote knowledge sharing and introduce innovative methods and best practices within the team and client engagements
• Mentor consultants at multiple experience levels, enhancing their skills in analysis, modeling, data visualization, and stakeholder communication
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable team culture encouraging personal authenticity and work-life balance

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience as a Senior Consultant or similar role in client-facing consulting environments
• Proven skills in analyzing complex business problems and translating them into clear data requirements, solution blueprints, and delivery plans
• Hands-on expertise in data modeling, analysis, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and knowledge of modern analytics-supportive data architectures
• Strong consulting abilities including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, business-technical analysis, and delivering impactful presentations to senior business and technical leaders
• Ability to formulate and implement data & analytics strategies that drive business value and influence executive decisions
• A collaborative approach passionate about cross-functional teamwork to co-develop client solutions
• Commitment to practice growth through knowledge exchange, mentoring, and thought leadership development
