Role Overview

The Site Engineer will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of Signalling system design and implementation on-site. This includes close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as engineering teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure project goals are met efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts with project stakeholders including internal teams and subcontractors across engineering, civil, and customer departments for design and on-site execution of signalling systems.
• Participate in conceptual development and oversee project scheduling and implementation stages.
• Collaborate with Construction/Installation Manager to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule, within budget, and comply with quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Provide frequent progress updates to the Construction/Installation Manager.
• Enforce adherence to company policies, approved procedures, and quality control measures including installation procedures, method statements, and Set to Work protocols.
• Maintain properly signed installation checklists and documentation for auditing purposes.
• Lead safety toolbox meetings on-site and monitor overall installation and testing & commissioning timelines.
• Prepare recovery plans if delays occur and conduct regular site progress meetings with subcontractors to ensure their compliance with acceptance procedures and quality standards.
• Resolve technical or drawing discrepancies in coordination with Drafting/BIM teams.
• Manage coordination between subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments regarding manpower, materials, and equipment to align with project schedules.
• Liaise with relevant parties for submissions such as Installation Procedures, Drawings, PMF, and ELARD documentation.
• Plan and organize work schedules, installation methods, equipment readiness, material deliveries, and manpower requirements on-site.
• Uphold strict safety practices at all times during site operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or equivalent qualification, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and work experience combination.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is preferred.
