Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our client's team to clearly define and record data, system, and interface requirements within a connected product ecosystem that includes devices, software applications, and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and map end-to-end data flows across interconnected products, applications, cloud infrastructures, and related systems.
Convert business, product, and technical requirements into detailed system specifications, interface definitions, and acceptance criteria.
Lead workshops with diverse stakeholders including engineering, product management, software, cybersecurity, validation, and business teams.
Collaborate with technical experts to assess solution options, clarify interdependencies, and document consensus approaches.
Ensure all requirements consider aspects like security, safety, dependability, performance, and functionality.
Create and update comprehensive system documentation, such as interface specs, process diagrams, data descriptions, and traceability matrices.
Assist verification and validation teams by making sure requirements are measurable, testable, and clearly communicated.
Identify and address gaps, risks, and conflicting requirements promptly, coordinating resolution strategies.
Support the organization of software, firmware, and remote updates across connected platforms.
Participate in cybersecurity and connectivity discussions covering devices, wireless systems, software, and cloud components.
Maintain alignment across distributed teams, suppliers, and internal product departments.
Advocate continuous enhancements in business analysis, product development, and requirements management methodologies.

Experience and Skills Required

At least 3 years working in technical business analysis, systems analysis, product development, engineering, or similar roles.
Background in engineering, product development, systems, software, or connected devices strongly preferred.
Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements effectively.
Deep understanding of data flow among devices, applications, platforms, and external systems.
Experience within product development environments involving software, hardware, or embedded technology.
Skill in translating technical details into clear requirements for engineering, business, suppliers, and validation teams.
Experience in facilitating workshops and achieving consensus among cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication emphasizing clarity, collaboration, and influence.
Competency in working across multiple teams without direct authority or management oversight.
Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and external partners.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and structured product/software lifecycle processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to connected products, embedded systems, IoT, or cloud-connected devices.
Knowledge of engineering disciplines like computer engineering, electronics, mechatronics, software, or biomedical engineering.
Understanding of communication protocols including cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and APIs.
Awareness of cybersecurity requirements related to connected products and data exchange.
Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or financial services.
Knowledge of verification and validation processes, requirements traceability, and acceptance criteria.
Experience supporting product development from concept through design to release.
Understanding of over-the-air software/firmware update mechanisms.
Strong analytical abilities to explain technical trade-offs and their business implications.
A cooperative attitude toward challenging assumptions and refining solutions.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Development, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields is essential. Postgraduate qualifications in engineering, technology, or product-oriented subjects are advantageous. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
