About the Role

GrainCorp Animal Nutrition, located in Hamilton, is seeking a Technical Feed Partner with expertise in dairy cow nutrition and feed formulation. This newly established role supports our expansion and focuses on leveraging technical feed knowledge to enhance on-farm production, reproduction, and profitability for dairy farmers.

Responsibilities and Role Overview

The successful candidate will provide expert advice on ration formulation, feed analysis, and nutritional management strategies to support herd health and performance. This role involves working closely with corporate and farming clients across New Zealand, using specialized tools to analyze diets and identify production constraints, helping attain customer goals.

Experience and Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in dairy cow nutrition and feed formulation tailored for various production systems
• Experience in agriculture sales or nutrition-related roles, preferably within the dairy sector
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills for delivering nutritional insights to farmers and rural professionals
• Preferably hands-on experience with on-farm dairy operations or commercial feed production
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays away from home
• Current valid driver’s license is required
• Proof of work rights and professional references necessary
• Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical assessment
