About the Internship

Join Senso Vision System as a Data Annotator and Model Validator intern where you'll contribute to building high-quality annotated image datasets crucial for deep learning model training. This role focuses on detecting and documenting industrial product defects through precise image annotations and validating AI model performance to enhance detection capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed image annotations following initial guidance from the AI team and quickly master annotation tools to work independently within a month.
• Regularly review and refine dataset annotations to minimize errors and ensure accurate defect identification.
• Test AI models and improve their accuracy by expanding and polishing annotated datasets.
• Collaborate with machine operators and application engineers to comprehend project requirements and analyze product defects for improvement and feasibility studies.
• Identify and label defects such as rust, oil stains, scratches, dents, missing features, and other quality issues in industrial images.
• Accurately mark defect-free components to establish reliable datasets.
• Understand technical aspects like camera setup, image quality, lighting, and inspection coverage to optimize annotation effectiveness.
• Maintain consistent quality in dataset creation and perform annotation quality checks.
• Assist with internal testing phases by preparing datasets and helping validate the models.
• Keep detailed records of defect types, annotation procedures, and inspection standards.
• Discover new defect types and consistently expand the training data repository.
• Show openness to improving and updating existing annotation datasets.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be able to commit to a full-time, in-office internship for a one-month period starting between July 13, 2026, and August 17, 2026. Fresh graduates seeking work experience with relevant skills and interests are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills and Qualities

• Strong observational skills with keen attention to details in images involving rubber, fasteners, and metal parts.
• Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges beyond typical user capabilities.
• Aptitude for detecting subtle image differences and accurately marking them.
• Ability to conduct feasibility studies and engage in pre-discussion with the team.
• Excellent communication skills in Hindi or English for interaction with clients and operators.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing components, surface defects, and inspection processes specific to the fastener industry.
• Comfortable using image annotation tools and documenting processes.
• Eagerness to learn about computer vision, artificial intelligence, and publicly available datasets with the ability to suggest improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

This internship offers a monthly stipend ranging between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000. Successful candidates will receive a certificate upon completion and may be offered a job opportunity. Upon conversion to a full-time role, the expected salary ranges between ₹300,000 and ₹350,000 per year.
