Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Apigee API Platform Developer experienced in Apigee X and/or Apigee Hybrid, with strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Keys. The developer will work collaboratively in an agile setting, applying problem-solving skills to design secure and scalable API solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Hands-on proficiency with the Apigee API Platform, including Apigee X or Apigee Hybrid variants.
- Deep understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP) and API security mechanisms like OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Keys.
- Experience in either CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) or with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, GKE, and IAM.
- Capability to configure Apigee Hybrid runtime environments, including Kubernetes and OpenShift cluster setups.
- Skill in API analytics, monitoring, and resolving operational issues.
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities to liaise with technical teams and business stakeholders effectively.
- Preference for candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical fields.
- Minimum seven years of professional experience in API development, integration, or platform engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong grasp on API governance, lifecycle management, and deployment best practices.
Additional Information
This role emphasizes expertise in either CI/CD pipeline management or Google Cloud Platform to deliver secure APIs. The position is based in Bengaluru and is open to candidates with a relevant engineering background.
