Role overview
BDA London is hiring an Assistant Creative to join its fashion and retail strategy team. This position is suited to someone early in their career who is genuinely interested in fashion, retail, and how brands turn consumer understanding into commercially effective products and strategies.
The role sits within a team that blends trend forecasting, product direction, retail intelligence, and commercial decision-making. You will work closely with the Creative Strategy Director, Associate Creative Directors, and other creative colleagues to turn global research and trends into practical, client-ready insight.
This is a hybrid role based in London, with studio days on Tuesday to Thursday, and it also includes international travel.
What you will do
- Carry out research on trends and consumer behaviour.
- Review retail activity and analyse competitors.
- Assist with the development of seasonal trend forecasts.
- Build client presentations and workshop support materials.
- Take part in international research trips, trade shows, and store visits.
- Contribute to product direction across womenswear, menswear, and kidswear.
What the team is looking for
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, well organised, and comfortable thinking commercially. You should enjoy digging into information, drawing out meaningful insight, and presenting ideas clearly and visually. Collaboration matters in this role, as does a willingness to learn and grow within a creative team.
Experience in trend forecasting, buying, design, product development, retail, or a similar creative area would be helpful, but BDA is also open to applicants with strong potential, the right mindset, and enthusiasm for the field.
