About the Role
At Kinnect, the finance function transcends traditional bookkeeping. It empowers smarter business choices, enforces financial rigor, and champions sustained growth. The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance will be pivotal in guaranteeing precise financial reporting, upholding statutory compliance, overseeing cost management, and enhancing financial controls. Collaboration with multiple teams will be essential to provide prompt financial insights, optimize workflows, and sustain the company's fiscal well-being. This position is ideal for those who relish numbers, resolving business complexities, and developing efficient finance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure all financial transactions adhere to relevant accounting principles and are accurately recorded.
- Prepare and scrutinize journal entries, provisions, accruals, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations.
- Maintain the General Ledger's accuracy and uphold comprehensive financial records.
- Generate monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Oversee both direct and indirect expenses to identify cost efficiency opportunities.
- Support product costing analyses, variance evaluation, and initiatives for cost control.
- Track and compare departmental expenditure against budgets while emphasizing significant variances.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecast updates.
- Develop monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports and financial dashboards for leadership.
- Perform profitability analyses and variance reviews across different units, projects, and clients.
- Provide financial analytics to support strategic business planning and decisions.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable laws on time.
- Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits effectively.
- Maintain thorough documentation to ensure timely statutory submissions.
- Drive continuous enhancements in financial controls and compliance frameworks.
- Monitor accounts receivable, payable, cash flow, and overall working capital.
- Assist in cash management and liquidity planning.
- Support valuation of inventory and related reconciliations as required.
- Identify and implement automation and simplification opportunities within finance processes.
- Strengthen internal controls and promote best accounting practices.
- Work in conjunction with business teams to improve the accuracy of financial planning and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounts roles.
- Hold qualifications such as B.Com, M.Com, semi-qualified Chartered Accountant, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
- Demonstrate solid expertise in financial accounting, budgeting, and statutory adherence.
- Experience with ERP platforms like Tally Prime or equivalent financial systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and use of financial reporting tools.
- In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act compliance.
- Experience within service sectors, particularly advertising, manufacturing, or process-oriented industries, is a plus.
