Business Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a Data and Business Analyst for a 12-month contract based at Marina Bay Financial Centre, with the possibility of contract extension or permanent employment. This role focuses on supporting business activities by leveraging data to improve decision-making, automate reporting, and optimize business processes with a commitment to data accuracy and analytical insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of business initiatives and assist in the business planning process, excluding projects involving change implementation.
• Create automated reports and develop dashboards that monitor trade volumes, sales performance, and profit margins.
• Enhance and streamline the reporting workflow while maintaining the integrity of data used in all outputs.
• Analyze trade and financial datasets sourced from internal systems to provide actionable insights.
• Offer analytical support and feedback to senior management to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Participate in supporting committees and forums and oversee compliance with internal governance standards.
• Investigate factors impacting business outcomes and assess the performance of external service providers.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in the trade department to improve reporting processes and solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• At least one year of experience in business or data analysis within the banking or financial sector, specifically handling trade or financial reporting.
• Competency in data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Practical experience in automating reports using Excel features (including VBA and Power Query) or programming with Python.
• Knowledge of banking systems and key performance indicators relevant to trade operations.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and strong communication skills.
