Role Overview

The role of Cargo Agent is a full-time onsite position based in the Nawalparasi District. This position involves managing cargo shipments through receiving, inspecting, processing, and documenting consignments while adhering to company policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating freight operations, preparing export documentation, updating shipment progress, and liaising with customers, drivers, and warehouse personnel. Safe handling, assisting with loading/unloading, and operating equipment such as forklifts when necessary are key parts of the job. Collaboration with operations staff to resolve operational issues, ensure inventory accuracy, and facilitate timely dispatch and delivery is essential.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in cargo handling and freight logistics, proficient in safe loading, unloading, and organizing shipments.
• Understanding of export procedures and documentation for both domestic and international freight.
• Strong communication abilities to effectively coordinate with clients, drivers, and internal teams.
• Competence in operating forklifts and warehouse machinery safely, with certifications considered advantageous.
• Keen attention to detail, accuracy in record maintenance, alongside basic computer proficiency for logistics software usage.
• Physical aptitude to perform onsite duties in Nawalparasi including lifting and moving cargo.
• Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse roles is preferred.
• Commitment to safety standards and company policies, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
