Clinical Data QA Reviewer

About the Position

We are seeking meticulous clinical experts to evaluate and annotate electronic health record (EHR) data for quality assurance. Your clinical knowledge will enhance the reliability of data sets utilized in real-world clinical and research settings, making a significant impact.

This role is fully remote with flexible hours, primarily serving the Chicago area. Candidates with healthcare experience, medical coding, or clinical documentation skills who have a keen eye for detail are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine clinical text and structured EHR data to ensure correctness and uniformity
• Annotate and label diagnoses, procedures, and chart information based on established protocols
• Detect and report inconsistencies, ambiguities, or errors within clinical documentation
• Apply sound judgment to intricate, practical medical data sets
• Maintain superior annotation quality and consistency over large volumes of records
• Deliver organized feedback and highlight data quality concerns promptly

Candidate Profile

• Background in healthcare, clinical documentation, medical coding, or related domains
• Knowledge of EHR systems, ICD and CPT coding, or clinical terminologies
• Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to identify subtle discrepancies
• Self-directed with strong time and task management skills
• Dependable, steady, and dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards
• Experience with chart review, medical record handling, or clinical quality assurance is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent credentials
• Experience working with data labeling or annotation tools
• Background in clinical research or health informatics
