Contract Specialist

About the Role

KPMG Canada is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their Contingent Labour Office (CLO), which focuses on streamlining the engagement of external resources while balancing business needs with risk mitigation. This role supports various functions and locations across Canada, handling over 1,000 external resource engagements annually, ranging from individual contractors to large organizations. The position offers a primarily virtual work environment with occasional in-office meetings (1-2 days per month).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to Hiring Managers on engaging external resources critical to their projects and clients.
• Utilize technology to enhance CLO processes and optimize resource management.
• Lead initiatives to improve internal workflows, maintain updated documentation, and ensure operational excellence.
• Manage case intake by partnering with Hiring Managers, conduct due diligence checks, and ensure accurate record keeping for compliance and reporting.
• Serve as a trusted advisor promoting a customer-focused approach, facilitating training for request submissions in vendor management systems, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
• Drive process governance by leading process improvements, updating SOPs, forms, knowledge articles, and educating relevant teams on updated procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in case management, preferably within contingent workforce or staffing contexts.
• Experience engaging with staffing agencies or handling contract labour is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingualism (English/French) is preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including senior leaders, contractors, and internal subject-matter experts.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex priorities effectively.
• Experience working with multiple technologies; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced) and familiarity with vendor management systems (such as Flextrack or Beeline) and ServiceNow is a plus.
• Post-secondary education from college or university in a relevant field.

Additional Information

• The role reports directly to the National Leader of the CLO.
• The salary range offered is $55,000 to $82,000 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, based on location, skills, and qualifications.
