The Team and Role

Zynga’s Data Science and Analytics division leverages abundant user data to model behaviors and enhance game personalization. Within this, the Player Success Org (PSO) is pivotal for boosting player engagement and maintaining strong relations with our loyal players. As a Data Analyst on this team, you will partner closely with PSO stakeholders to identify critical data needs and develop efficient data models, sharp reports, timely investigations, and actionable insights. Collaborative efforts with Game and Central Analytics will ensure alignment and standardization across functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze extensive data sets to uncover ways to enrich player experiences and craft insights on effective VIP outreach by examining the impact of campaigns, sweepstakes, and programs across various regions, demographics, and channels.
• Create compelling data-driven stories and visualizations that reflect VIP engagement, player support metrics, and campaign performance.
• Support the Player Support team by pinpointing areas to enhance customer satisfaction while optimizing internal cost-efficiency.
• Work alongside game analysts and product managers to quantify how PSO campaigns influence overall game metrics and identify synergistic opportunities to strengthen VIP engagement.
• Offer ad hoc analytical assistance to account managers and senior leadership for evaluating unconventional campaigns, partnerships, and sweepstakes effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL with intermediate skills in Python programming.
• Experience using visualization software such as Tableau.
• Background in CRM or sales analytics is advantageous.
• Demonstrated skills in areas like data mining, optimization techniques, experimental design, computational analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in data analytics or data science roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative disciplines; advanced degrees (Masters, MBA, PhD) are preferred.

Salary ranges vary by location and candidate qualifications, with example annual ranges starting at $71,400 to $105,660 CAD in Ontario and $77,100 to $114,120 USD in Illinois. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity awards, 401(k) participation, and employee stock purchase programs.
