About the Role and Company
HCLTech, a global leader in technology with headquarters in India, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join its Hyderabad team. The company specializes in digital, engineering, cloud, and AI services and employs over 223,000 professionals worldwide across 60 countries. This role demands deep expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning with practical deployment experience in production environments.
Key Responsibilities and Experience
- Possess extensive experience in statistical and data science roles, with at least 5 years in relevant positions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming, with additional knowledge of languages such as R, MATLAB, or Scala considered advantageous.
- Develop and implement time series models to address complex business challenges.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of applying machine learning models in Python within production settings, beyond proof-of-concept stages.
- Bring over 3 years of professional background focusing on deploying machine learning solutions to solve business problems.
- Exhibit strong software engineering practices, including expertise in unit testing, object-oriented design, adherence to coding standards like PEP8, and usage of development tools such as Black.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience working with Azure Machine Learning to create cloud-based machine learning solutions.
- Have experience with Bayesian modeling and the practical use of probabilistic models for more than a year.
