Role Overview

This full-time Dispatcher position based in Lahore requires on-site presence. The Dispatcher is responsible for planning and managing daily freight operations by assigning loads to drivers and optimizing routes to guarantee timely, safe deliveries. Key tasks include tracking driver locations, updating schedules, liaising with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding pickup and delivery updates, and maintaining precise dispatch records.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight movements effectively.
• Assign shipment loads to appropriate drivers and optimize route plans.
• Monitor locations of drivers continuously and update scheduling systems accordingly.
• Communicate status updates clearly to drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records within dispatch software systems.
• Address unexpected delays, route modifications, and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Contribute to smooth workflow and elevated customer satisfaction through timely coordination.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments, shifting priorities, and strict deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with dispatch or transportation management software; training will be provided.
• Problem-solving aptitude and capacity to make rapid, sound decisions under unforeseen circumstances.
• Meticulous attention to detail for precise documentation, scheduling, and record maintenance.
• Willingness to work on-site in Lahore, including potential shift work or extended hours as needed.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch preferred but not compulsory.
• Minimum education of high school diploma; advanced qualifications in business, logistics, or related fields are advantageous.
