Position Overview
The KU School of Professional Studies (SPS), established in 2019, aims to transform lives and enhance communities by offering innovative academic programs that cater to diverse student needs and support workforce demands in Kansas and beyond. SPS provides flexible degree programs, multiple course formats, diverse scheduling, and comprehensive student support to accommodate individuals balancing work and other commitments. The School is poised for significant expansion over the next five years, continuously launching new degree options.
The Center for Workplace Excellence (CWE), a part of SPS supported by the Johnson County Education Research Triangle, focuses on maximizing individual and organizational potential through professional skills development, employee engagement, leadership training, and coaching.

Job Responsibilities
The Education Program Manager oversees the entire lifecycle and support systems of professional education and workforce development initiatives at the Center. This role ensures alignment with market demands and organizational strategies, collaborating closely with faculty, partners, and clients.
- Develop and implement marketing and enrollment strategies, including creating and managing promotional materials, social media content, and communications through platforms like HubSpot.
- Manage program delivery and logistics, including space, technology, participant communications, and website content updates.
- Lead program and business development efforts such as proposal writing, market analysis, pricing models, and opportunity tracking for new initiatives.
- Utilize CRM and data to monitor program effectiveness, create reports and dashboards, manage budgets and financial processes, and identify opportunities for program enhancements.
Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s degree with five years relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience in program management, professional education, or workforce development.
- Minimum one year of experience in marketing, enrollment strategy, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through previous materials and interactions.
- Some in-state travel and occasional work outside traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, project management, or related discipline.
- Experience in higher education or professional development settings.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as HubSpot.
- Demonstrated ability in developing proposals and managing external partnerships.

Compensation
