Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Awtad is looking for a proficient and driven Electrical Engineer to become part of our expanding team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The selected individual will take charge of designing, assessing, and overseeing electrical systems across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Ensuring full adherence to project specifications, relevant codes, safety protocols, and client expectations is essential throughout all project stages from initial design to final commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate electrical infrastructures, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Create and verify electrical plans, specifications, and related technical documents.
• Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other key stakeholders for integrated project delivery.
• Supervise electrical installations to guarantee alignment with approved plans and quality benchmarks.
• Perform site inspections and address technical challenges during the construction phase.
• Assess shop drawings, material requests, and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with local electrical regulations, codes, and safety standards.
• Facilitate testing, commissioning, and turnover processes of electrical systems.
• Track project advancement, prepare engineering reports, and assist with project scheduling.
• Work and coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and suppliers throughout project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience and strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering related to building projects.
• Familiarity with electrical design software and drafting standards.
• Understanding of applicable codes, safety standards, and statutory regulations in the region.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
• Problem-solving aptitude and ability to manage multiple aspects during project phases.
