Role Overview
We seek a seasoned Ethics Manager to spearhead our ethics and integrity initiatives, advocating for ethical conduct and reinforcing a culture of compliance and responsibility. This role involves managing ethics policies, overseeing investigations, providing expert ethical guidance, and ensuring operations align with legal obligations and corporate values.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute enterprise-wide ethics strategies, governance frameworks, codes of conduct, and ethics-related initiatives consistent with organizational values and regulatory mandates.
- Oversee ongoing management and enhancement of the ethics and compliance program, encompassing policies, reporting channels, conflict of interest protocols, and integrity efforts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including legal, compliance, HR, internal audit, risk, info security, finance, operations, procurement, and executive leadership—to foster ethical decision-making and organizational accountability.
- Handle confidential ethics reports, whistleblower cases, hotline activities, investigations, and case resolutions ensuring fairness, privacy, and legal compliance.
- Track core performance metrics such as training completion rates, investigation durations, policy adherence, employee awareness, reporting trends, and program effectiveness.
- Perform ethics risk assessments, policy reviews, cultural evaluations, compliance audits, and root cause analyses to detect emerging ethical risks and recommend mitigations.
- Develop and deploy ethics education programs, leadership workshops, communications campaigns, and guidance materials to enhance ethical culture organization-wide.
- Guarantee all policies and business procedures comply with legal, regulatory, governance, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and corporate ethics standards.
- Liaise with regulators, legal counsel, external investigators, auditors, ethics consultants, and other relevant parties to support ethics governance and compliance efforts.
- Leverage Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms, Ethics Case Management Systems, ERP software, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and analytics tools to oversee program performance and produce actionable insights.
- Prepare comprehensive ethics reports, executive dashboards, board updates, investigation summaries, policy advice, and strategic presentations for senior leaders and governance bodies.
- Lead and mentor ethics specialists, compliance staff, investigators, and stakeholders fostering an ethical culture founded on integrity, respect, inclusion, transparency, and continuous enhancement.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Ethics, Compliance, HR, Risk Management, Public Administration, or related disciplines preferred.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) are strongly favored.
- More than five years’ relevant experience in ethics, compliance, corporate governance, legal work, internal audit, investigations, or risk management roles.
- At least two years managing ethics programs, compliance initiatives, investigations, or governance frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of corporate ethics principles, compliance programs, governance, whistleblower protections, anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, conflict of interest management, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using GRC tools, ethics case management systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, reporting software, and compliance analytics.
- Awareness of ESG principles, human rights due diligence, AI governance, privacy laws, and international compliance frameworks is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, analytical, investigative, organizational, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, presentation, facilitation, report writing, and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive ethics issues with discretion, balancing legal duties, corporate values, employee confidence, and business goals.
- Capability to work autonomously in remote or hybrid settings.
