Role Overview
We are expanding our team with Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and product groups to design, develop, implement, and scale impactful AI-powered systems that operate in live environments. This role blends software engineering, AI product innovation, solution architecture, and client-facing delivery.
FDEs will engage deeply with user processes, rapidly develop prototypes, evolve them into stable production-grade systems, and provide on-the-ground insights to drive product development. The team embraces diverse expertise, including software coding, AI and large language model engineering, data infrastructure, cloud systems, enterprise software integration, security, and deployment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with users and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze workflows, data sources, challenges, and success metrics.
- Convert unclear operational needs into precise technical architectures and deployable solutions.
- Construct robust applications, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and AI-enhanced functionalities.
- Develop workflows involving LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, autonomous agents, data extraction, classification, and decision support.
- Manage deployment and operation on cloud platforms using containers, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, monitoring tools, logging, testing strategies, and security frameworks.
- Troubleshoot issues spanning applications, data, AI models, infrastructure layers, and integration points.
- Expand successful pilot projects into full-scale production environments across multiple teams or clients.
- Identify patterns for reusable implementations and channel customer feedback into product enhancements and operational playbooks.
Required Qualifications
- Proven software engineering expertise in backend, full-stack, data engineering, AI/LLM, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software integration.
- Track record of delivering functional software in active operational settings beyond mere prototypes.
- Proficiency with one or more modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, database systems, authentication methods, deployment processes, and live system debugging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude in uncertain and rapidly evolving scenarios.
- Good judgment in balancing speed of delivery, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Effective communication skills, capable of interacting comfortably with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Software and Product Engineering: Experience developing full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, event-driven architectures, databases, user-centric workflows, and enterprise integrations.
- AI and LLM Engineering: Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, tool integration, performance evaluation, prompt testing, monitoring models, fine-tuning techniques, inference optimization, and securing AI systems.
- Infrastructure, DevOps, and Security: Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, private clouds, containerization via Docker and Kubernetes, infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and logging strategies, identity and access management, audit trails, secrets handling, and secure deployment best practices.
- Data and Enterprise Integration: Skills in ETL/ELT processes, streaming technologies, document ingestion, data quality assurance, schema design, and integration with systems such as CRM, ERP, ticketing, SIEM/SOAR platforms, email, document repositories, and internal databases.

- Deliver fully functional pilot projects or production features deployed in real customer scenarios.

- Identify gaps in product offerings and articulate actionable insights to influence the product roadmap.
