Role Overview

As the Founding Gameplay & Technical Director, you will serve in a full-time, hybrid capacity based out of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with flexibility for remote work. Your primary responsibility is to lead both the creative and technical direction of gameplay systems, managing core mechanics, game feel, and the overall player experience from concept creation through to implementation. Collaboration with design, engineering, art, and production teams will be essential to develop solid gameplay frameworks, set coding standards, and guarantee the technical viability of design goals.

Daily tasks include evaluating and refining gameplay prototypes, steering technical decisions related to game engines and development tools, mentoring team members, and aligning gameplay progress with the studio’s long-term vision. Additionally, you will spearhead research and development strategies, assess emerging technologies, oversee project schedules, and contribute critically to shaping the company’s founding culture and methodologies.

Qualifications
