Graphic Designer

Role Overview

Brady Corporation is looking for a Graphic Designer who will operate under general guidance to produce proofs and final artwork for custom identification products. This individual will act as a liaison between Customer Operations and Production by handling requests for proofs and artwork and delivering finalized materials. They will also contribute to various departmental projects and support different operational streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate proofs and final production artwork while advising on design elements including layout, typography, colors, and styles tailored to custom identification products.
• Utilize graphic design software primarily from the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, such as Illustrator and InDesign, with knowledge of barcode creation and symbology.
• Resolve customer service inquiries efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Rapidly analyze request issues by clarifying needs and identifying necessary information and resources to deliver effective solutions. Provide constructive feedback on problems encountered.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail ensuring all output meets customer, product, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and leadership to support process improvements.
• Foster and maintain strong working relationships within the team and Customer Operations across all Brady divisions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• At least one year of professional experience in graphic design, production artistry, pre-press printing, or comparable roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Problem-solving skills focused on routine operations using root cause analysis and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies or opportunities even with partial information.
• Critical thinking applied to improve customer and employee experience gaps.
• Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
• Experience in working respectfully across all organizational levels.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to moderate large group discussions.
• Motivate customer loyalty through account management, conflict resolution, and professional communication.
• Drive departmental strategic initiatives and optimize workflow processes.
