- Create punch lists highlighting critical issues, and communicate these effectively to customers and internal teams.
- Advise customers practically on maintenance schedules, repairs, upgrades, and asset longevity strategies.
- Identify and recommend aftermarket parts, engineering studies, retrofit options, and other reliability-improving solutions.
- Maintain professionalism representing the company before, during, and after field work.
- Be flexible for quick deployment especially during peak outage seasons in spring and fall.
- Support additional business and service functions such as 3D scanning, proposals, invoicing, equipment support, inventory, warranty, and studies when not engaged in inspections.
Travel Requirements
- Extensive travel up to 75% or more during peak seasons is expected.
- Work schedules may include weekends and extended hours depending on outage timelines and project needs.
- Capability to travel both domestically and internationally is essential.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Access confined spaces through openings as small as 12" x 16" including boiler drums and other HRSG components.
- Remain in confined spaces for extended durations.
- Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and other elevated access structures safely using fall protection gear, working at heights up to 100 feet.
- Perform physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling across industrial plant locations.
- Carry and manage inspection equipment including videoscopes throughout facilities.
- Work in power generation environments exposed to diverse temperatures, noise, dust, and other surrounding conditions, complying with required personal protective equipment standards.
Accommodation Statement
The company will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable essential job functions.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent technical education/training in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Power Generation Technology, or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of experience with HRSGs, boilers, pressure vessels, power generation machinery, or similar heavy industrial equipment is favored.
- Strong background in inspection, maintenance, outage management, field service, or reliability in industrial or power generation fields is highly advantageous.
