Role Overview

The HR Data Analyst will be responsible for converting employee and workforce data into precise, consistent reports that support decision-making. This role includes creating and updating dashboards, standardizing metrics, and collaborating with HR leadership on critical topics like turnover, recruitment, internal mobility, compensation, and benefits. Reporting regularly on various workforce indicators, this position reports directly to the SVP of Data & Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain HR dashboards and reports categorized by location, role, and manager using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze workforce data, ensuring it is dependable and serves as a single source of truth for all HR reporting.
  • Define and document uniform formulas and definitions for key HR metrics like time-to-fill, turnover, internal mobility, and compensation ratios to maintain consistent cross-team reporting.
  • Generate analytics on turnover and retention, including separating voluntary and involuntary terminations, tenure at departure, and tracking regrettable losses, while supporting predictive models for flight risk and workforce forecasting.
  • Provide talent acquisition insights including pipeline status, applicant tracking, hiring sources, offer acceptance rates, hiring costs, hire quality, and time-to-fill metrics to aid recruitment efforts.
  • Monitor promotion rates, internal movement, succession pipeline health, and participation in learning and training to support workforce strategy planning.
  • Report on compensation and benefits data such as benefits enrollment and participation, with future plans to analyze compa-ratio, salary bands, and pay equity.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations and IT to conduct quarterly data audits, ensure compliance, and address data quality issues.
  • Deliver scheduled reports including weekly staff books, monthly workforce snapshots, quarterly audits, and annual strategic workforce reviews.
  • Consolidate information from multiple data platforms into a unified and consistent reporting view for HR leaders.
  • Promote a data-informed culture by providing clearly visualized data, thorough documentation, and supporting non-technical stakeholders in understanding analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated background as an HR Data Analyst, People Analytics Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar.
  • Expert skill with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Proficient in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with enterprise HRIS systems.
