Internal Auditor

Job Overview

The Internal Auditor will contribute to internal audit and risk management projects aligned with the Institute of Internal Auditors' International Professional Practices Framework. This role may also involve supporting IT audits, compliance audits, agreed-upon procedures, sustainability reporting, special audits, and ad-hoc reviews as requested by management or audit committees. Reporting will be to the Internal Audit Senior or Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervisors to define clear objectives and detailed procedures for each audit project.
• Carry out internal audit procedures as required.
• Conduct interviews, analyze documents, and prepare audit working papers.
• Identify, document, and propose issues and recommendations.
• Execute government-related agreed-upon procedure engagements.
• Support enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Assist in risk consulting assignments.
• Contribute to sustainability reporting projects.
• Engage with process owners and management to discuss key audit findings.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities, including training and association memberships, and share insights with colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum one year of professional experience in accounting, business management, or similar fields preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or related discipline required.
• Understanding of current best practices in governance, risk management, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin to effectively coordinate with Mandarin-speaking team members on audit compliance matters.
• Highly motivated, able to overcome self-imposed limitations.
• Demonstrates strong integrity and commitment to timely task completion.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel as necessary.
