About the Role
G.D.I. Distributors (2012) Ltd., located in Kingston, Jamaica, is seeking a meticulous and result-oriented Inventory Coordinator. This position involves managing inventory operations, ensuring system accuracy, and enhancing efficiency within a dynamic distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control and stock management activities.
- Track inventory accuracy and investigate inconsistencies.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Compile weekly reports on inventory discrepancies and monthly adjustment summaries.
- Organize cycle counts and yearly physical inventory audits.
- Analyze sales data and inventory trends to support procurement decisions.
- Enhance inventory systems and operational processes.
- Lead inventory audits and assist in loss prevention strategies.
- Supervise inventory staff, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and Management teams to optimize inventory effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience managing inventory, preferably in distribution, wholesale, or retail sectors.
- Strong analytical abilities, excellent reporting skills, and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management software; experience with Odoo is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude focused on continuous improvement.
