About the Role
The IT Field Support Engineer is tasked with managing the inbound and outbound movement of spare parts within the warehouse environment. The role involves resolving minor incidents reported by customers and supporting delivery of parts to Field Engineers and Service Partner Engineers on site. The equipment handled includes servers, tape libraries and drives, storage devices, printers, and various hardware components.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage spare parts movement in and out of warehouses.
- Conduct quarterly inventory stock taking in both local and partner warehouses.
- Execute onsite minor hardware maintenance such as hot-swapping hard drives and reseating cables.
- Carry out physical and logical audits on-site to ensure proactive spare part availability.
- Perform preventive maintenance quarterly for assigned customers.
- Coordinate spare parts delivery to Field Engineers, Service Partners, and clients.
- Manage issuance of Incident Material Returns (IMRs) and Purchase Order Releases (PORs).
- Assist verification and investigation of discrepancies during stock counts involving Voltage Clamp Amplifiers (VCAs) and Battery Disconnect Assemblies (BDAs).
- Engage in effective customer communication.
- Update internal TRT procedural documentation.
- Acquire additional technical and non-technical skills as required.
- Source local service and logistics partners or suppliers.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a college degree is mandatory.
- Relevant training and certifications are advantageous.
- Certifications in networking platforms such as Cisco and Juniper are preferred.
- Firm grasp of networking fundamentals is required.
- Oracle Certified Professional (Solaris) certification is a plus.
- VMWare Certified Professional credentials are preferred.
- IBM Certified Deployment Professional certification on TSM is desirable.
- Preferably 7 years of prior experience managing IT spare parts control and warehouse operations.
- Readiness to work at TRT office location in Frankfurt and availability to travel internationally to TRT offices as necessary.
Additional Information
Salary offered ranges between €4,500 and €6,000 per month, reflecting experience and qualifications.
