Junior Architect

Position Overview

The Junior Architect will play a vital role in assisting the Design & Engineering team by creating customized data centre layouts, developing business and technical presentations, managing architectural documentation, and delivering quality graphical outputs. This position primarily supports colocation customer projects by translating client needs into multiple layout possibilities, while aiding senior architects with documentation to enable them to concentrate on higher-level design, coordination, construction, and delivery.

Key Duties

• Develop floor plans customized to colocation client requirements, modifying rack, cage, suite, and office layouts accordingly.
• Provide various layout options for client discussions and update plans through leasing and fit-out phases.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions, and Design teams for space planning alignment.
• Create and update architectural drawings including floor plans, general arrangements, space and furniture layouts, incorporating feedback from senior architects.
• Maintain CAD and Revit drawing libraries, ensuring documentation is current and well organized.
• Generate professional business presentations for proposals, executive reviews, investment approvals, and marketing materials.
• Design high-quality graphical visuals using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and Canva.
• Produce rendered plans, site visuals, master plans, capacity expansions, zoning maps, 3D concepts, before/after layouts, and signage concepts.
• Manage drawing registers, ensure revision control, coordinate with document controllers, and archive outdated documents.
• Support senior architects by monitoring consultant deliverables, preparing meetings and presentations, logging review comments, tracking actions, coordinating revisions, and facilitating design workshops.
• Aid business development efforts through creation of brochures, campus graphics, capacity studies, site selection visuals, and proposal graphics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture, interior design, workplace planning, or commercial building projects.
• Proven experience in producing architectural drawings and presentations.
• Preferably 2 years of data centre-related experience.

• Essential software: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Preferred software: Autodesk Revit, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, Bluebeam Revu, and Canva.
