Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Junior Data Analyst to join the Group Technical team in Birmingham. It is well suited to someone at the early stage of an analytics career who wants practical exposure to data handling, reporting, systems support, and stakeholder interaction within a large and busy organisation.
The position is heavily focused on administration and system support, with roughly 70% of the work centred on maintaining, checking, and managing data and reporting workflows, and the remaining 30% dedicated to analysis and insight generation. Ongoing training will be provided, with support from experienced colleagues to help build both technical and analytical capability.

Responsibilities
- Keep technical and health & safety reporting systems current, accurate, and easy to access for the wider business.
- Carry out regular data imports, checks, cleansing, and publishing to protect data quality and consistency.
- Prepare and share KPI reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for Group and Divisional stakeholders.
- Look into irregularities in the data, partnering with site teams to correct issues and improve reporting accuracy.
- Assist site users with system access, new account setup, profile updates, and questions related to reporting.
Requirements
- High attention to detail and a careful approach to data.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or complex information in simple terms for different audiences.
- Good organisation and planning ability.
- Strong Excel capability and confidence working with data sets.
- Experience in administration, reporting, data, or analysis would be helpful, though it is not mandatory.
Candidate Profile
The role is aimed at an organised, technically curious person with a genuine interest in data and analytics. It is suitable for a recent graduate, someone with some background in administration or reporting, or anyone looking to build a career in a junior data role.
Applicants should be comfortable working with large volumes of information, enjoy investigating problems, and be able to communicate confidently with colleagues across the business.
Benefits
- 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
- Refer-a-friend programme.
- Access to Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme and Grocery Aid, both free, confidential support services available every day of the year.
- 50% discount through the Boparan Restaurant Group for friends and family.
Growth Opportunity
This role offers practical experience across systems, reporting, and analytics in multiple business areas. It is designed to help the successful candidate learn from experienced team members and grow into a more advanced analytical position over time, with strong support for internal progression.
