Position Summary

The Uniform and Linen Attendant is responsible for ensuring all staff uniforms are clean, properly maintained, well fitted, and meet the Four Seasons’ standards of quality and appearance. Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor or Director of Housekeeping, the role involves uniform issue, repair, inventory, and assisting in uniform-related services for employees and guests.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend every shift punctually, staying aware of the schedule, and notify supervisors timely if unable to work as per policy.
  • Manage placement of all uniforms on the uniform carousel daily.
  • Distribute clean uniforms to staff and handle the collection of uniforms for laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing.
  • Inspect uniforms daily for necessary repairs and complete minor fixes.
  • Support the Seamstress in fitting and issuing uniforms to new employees.
  • Give damaged uniforms beyond repair to the Seamstress for discard records and notify the Laundry Assistant Manager to investigate damage causes, including staff neglect, equipment issues, or incorrect care.
  • Assist with quarterly uniform inventory across departments ensuring sufficient size availability.
  • Communicate courteously and effectively with staff and guests.
  • Ensure compliance with all care and housekeeping standards and administer related requirements to the housekeeping team.
  • Provide professional and prompt service to resort guests.
  • Help the Valet team by managing uniforms and guests’ clothing processing including deliveries and room pickups.
  • Execute additional tasks or projects assigned by Management.
  • Participate in all required training sessions and meetings.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Comply with laws pertaining to licensing, food safety, health and safety protocols, fire equipment, and training.
  • Report accidents following established procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and safety incidents.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct oneself professionally at all times adhering to company rules, fire safety regulations, and departmental policies.
