Overview
You will be instrumental in defining and managing the talent development strategy for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), overseeing developmental frameworks, administering courses, and identifying growth opportunities for SAF personnel across various levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design talent development roadmaps and identify the developmental needs of personnel at different tiers.
- Identify and assess appropriate developmental opportunities for SAF talents.
- Recommend qualified candidates for developmental programs.
- Handle comprehensive course administration, including processing nominations for overseas training on an ad-hoc basis.
- Develop and evaluate talent development frameworks, providing informed recommendations regarding course enrollments and candidate nominations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment on talent development priorities.
Challenges
- Managing long-term and dynamic talent development initiatives, requiring a strategic perspective to understand how individual courses contribute to the overall development plan.
- Coordinating nominations for over 50 courses impacting more than 1,200 personnel, while managing tight schedules and complex administrative demands involving multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education background in Human Resource Development, Talent Management, or related disciplines.
- Preferably experience in talent management, training program coordination, or course administration.
- Proven capability in stakeholder engagement across organizational levels.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly attentive to detail in documentation and reporting tasks.
- Able to perform under pressure and effectively prioritize competing tasks to meet deadlines.
