Onsite Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Site Engineer or Architect to provide comprehensive full-time supervision directly at our construction site. This role requires overseeing contractor activities to ensure full compliance with approved plans and technical specifications, as well as creating shop drawings as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction operations to ensure all work adheres strictly to architectural and engineering designs, specifications, and relevant regulations.
• Evaluate contractors’ workmanship, measurements, materials, and installation approaches; promptly identify and report any inconsistencies or discrepancies.
• Develop, assess, and issue detailed shop drawings and construction documentation to address field conditions or to clarify design intentions.
• Facilitate communication among design teams, contractors, and project managers; respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly.
• Participate in site meetings and compile detailed daily and weekly progress reports supplemented with photographic evidence.
• Inspect and authorize stages of work prior to covering up critical elements such as reinforcement, mechanical, electrical, plumbing rough-ins, and waterproofing.
• Maintain thorough documentation of site instructions, changes, and variations including as-built modifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is mandatory.
• Between three to seven years of proven experience in on-site construction supervision.
• Strong skills in interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with Revit knowledge considered advantageous for preparing shop drawings.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, materials, and quality assurance standards.
• Highly detail-focused, assertive, and capable of enforcing contractor accountability rigorously.
