Role Overview
We are seeking an Insurance Expert specializing in claims and operations to join our team on a freelance, remote basis for a long-term engagement. The selected candidate will support AI-driven insurance workflows by translating real-world insurance processes into structured AI tasks and evaluating AI outputs for precision and domain relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert actual insurance operations into well-defined tasks suitable for AI integration.
- Assess AI-generated results for correctness, logical consistency, and adherence to insurance knowledge.
- Engage with use cases such as claims review, underwriting assessment, policy management, and risk evaluation.
- Analyze claims data, policy documents, and risk reports to identify patterns, risks, and potential opportunities.
- Document all assumptions, reasoning, and conclusions in a clear and detailed manner.
- Provide constructive feedback aimed at enhancing AI system performance and output quality.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Insurance Operations, Claims Management, Underwriting, or Risk Analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least three of the following areas: claims adjudication, underwriting, policy administration, subrogation, and risk analysis.
- Between 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience; exceptional candidates with less may also be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Work Style and Expectations
- The role primarily involves asynchronous work, providing flexibility in scheduling.
- Minimal mandatory meetings, with optional office hours available once or twice weekly.
- Daily collaboration occurs via Slack and internal tools.
- Candidates are expected to maintain consistent engagement and proactively report their progress.
Additional Information
- Compensation ranges from $100 to $125 per hour USD.
- The commitment is a minimum of 10 hours per week, with 20 or more hours preferred.
- Immediate start with rapid onboarding within approximately 24 hours.
