Role Overview
Join a prominent Federal government organisation as a Procurement Advisor, providing strategic leadership in significant and complex procurement projects that influence national interests. This position involves collaborating with senior leadership to guide procurement excellence across diverse programs and services.
Key Duties
- Lead and manage complex, high-risk procurement initiatives
- Formulate robust procurement strategies and sourcing plans
- Oversee tender processes and conduct thorough evaluations
- Offer expert advice to senior stakeholders on procurement matters
- Direct commercial negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulations and audit requirements
- Mentor and enhance procurement skills within teams
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in Commonwealth procurement practices
- In-depth knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and governmental procurement frameworks
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and exert influence
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex procurement results
- Expertise preferred in ICT, professional services, construction, infrastructure, or related specialist procurement sectors
- Must hold an active NV1 clearance
Additional Information
This contract role is based in Melbourne or Sydney and requires Australian citizenship. The appointment is initially for 12 months with potential extension to 24 months. Remuneration ranges from $80 to $87 per hour plus superannuation.
