Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Security Engineer for a full-time remote position. The successful candidate will design and implement security controls within a cloud-native platform, focusing primarily on threat modeling and adhering to secure development practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to incorporate security seamlessly into the product's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain security requirements for product features and infrastructure components.
- Perform threat modeling and risk evaluations for both new and existing product features.
- Apply and uphold secure coding standards and security testing techniques.
- Work closely with engineering teams to plan and deploy secure cloud platform architectures.
- Track, address, and coordinate responses to security vulnerabilities across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Proficiency using threat modeling frameworks and related tools.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices, particularly in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, and penetration testing methods.
- Knowledge of container security technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of identity and access management (IAM) and zero-trust security principles.
- Ability to produce clear security documentation and guidelines aimed at engineering teams.
