Program Manager

Position Overview

The selected candidate will take charge of leading cross-functional research and development programs from initial concept right through to product commercialization. This role requires oversight of the entire lifecycle of complex product creation, utilizing hybrid project management frameworks to ensure business objectives and engineering milestones are met while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Ideally suited for experienced professionals with a solid foundation in technical program management, especially within R&D-driven sectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct comprehensive program execution, incorporating hybrid or Agile methodologies as relevant.
• Coordinate efforts across engineering, design, quality assurance, procurement, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams to ensure unified progress.
• Define clear program scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables that align with the overall product and business strategy.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, resource allocations, budget plans, and Gantt charts.
• Ensure prompt completion of design assessments, technical milestones, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Identify potential risks proactively, formulate mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues to prevent project delays.
• Lead regular program status reviews, communicating updates effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Maintain rigorous documentation in line with design controls and quality system standards.
• Promote and uphold phase-gate processes and foster continuous improvement in project management workflows.
• Facilitate seamless communication among global site teams, vendors, and external collaborators.
• Manage the transfer process of both products and processes from new product development phases into manufacturing.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience managing programs within the semiconductor R&D or product development sectors.
• Proven application of program management best practices including stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and governance frameworks.
• Strong expertise with Waterfall project management; familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid approaches considered advantageous.
• Competency in project management software such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
• Excellent interpersonal skills encompassing stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural communication.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with ability to influence various teams and navigate complex challenges.
• Experience in regulated environments with design control, risk management, and quality assurance processes (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE compliance).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
• Understanding of hardware and software co-development cycles and new product introduction (NPI) procedures.
• Detail-driven mindset combined with systems-thinking approach.
• Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced, and innovation-focused R&D environments.
