Positioned within the Capital Projects team, these roles lead some of Fonterra's most significant and strategic capital investments. The Programme Manager will be accountable for guiding complex capital programmes from the initial planning and business case development stages, through execution and transition, to successful delivery. This involves collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including operational, technical, commercial, and project teams to ensure well-designed investments, risk management, and achievement of business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale and complex capital programmes aligned with Fonterra's Strategic Asset Road Map.
  • Shape investment decisions and establish governance frameworks for programme oversight.

  • Engage senior leaders and other key influencers effectively to secure buy-in and collaboration.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic and seasoned programme manager skilled in navigating complex environments. You possess extensive experience managing large programmes that balance commercial priorities with operational delivery. Your expertise includes steering projects through governance and approval stages, and leading transformational changes with integrated workstreams.

  • Strong financial and commercial insight to analyze investment opportunities and risks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformational changes and integrate multifaceted programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging senior executives and fostering cohesive teamwork.
  • Tertiary education in Engineering, Project Management, Technology, or related fields; certification such as PMP is highly valued.
