Role Overview
The Project Director will play a key leadership role within Glanua Industrial's UK business, based in Dundalk. This position holds end-to-end operational and financial accountability for a major project, including daily management and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and at a high-quality standard, working closely with senior management teams across various functions and leading a multidisciplinary team encompassing operations, project and design engineers, commercial staff, and site supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Report monthly on project performance to the Industrial Operations Director, overseeing progress and risk controls.
- Manage budget adherence, turnover, and EBITDA target tracking, assisting in project budget preparation.
- Ensure adequate resourcing aligned with client and company requirements.
- Provide strategic leadership by making informed decisions supporting project goals and driving continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators and maintain compliance with all HSQE legal and statutory requirements.
- Lead health, safety, quality, environment, and wellbeing initiatives, conducting site visits and safety interventions.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial Management on contractual and commercial matters.
- Promote sustainability and net zero carbon objectives consistent with company and client targets.
- Champion innovation in project execution adhering to business strategies.
- Develop and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
- Oversee operational planning, resource management, recruitment, retention, and team development aligned with HR policies.
- Supervise contract negotiations and operational enhancements for the project.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, drive construction progress, organize stakeholder meetings, and foster a culture of innovation.
- Support contract and project managers to optimize cost-effective project completion and risk management.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams ensuring adequate supervision and supplier engagement to meet turnover goals.
- Adopt and advocate for digital delivery tools, maintaining feedback loops for improvements.
Reporting and Meeting Duties
- Prepare monthly performance and rebudget projections reports for the project as changes occur.
- Submit quarterly performance reviews detailing backlog and margin forecasts.
- Attend project-related meetings, monthly management team meetings, and regular one-on-one updates with the Industrial Operations Director.
