Project Manager

Position Overview

Elford, Inc is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee K-12 construction assignments from the initial preconstruction phase through to project completion. The professional in this role will be responsible for supervising project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relations, and comprehensive project delivery. The aim is to guarantee that every project is completed safely, on schedule, within financial plans, and meets the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of K-12 construction projects, spanning from preconstruction to final closeout.
• Create and manage project timelines, financial plans, and overall fiscal health.
• Cultivate and sustain solid partnerships with school districts, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead efforts in project preparation, subcontract management, procurement, and contract oversight.
• Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure that field operations are safe, efficient, and successful.
• Handle all necessary project documents, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and regular reports.
• Recognize potential risks and initiate strategies to keep the schedule, budget, and quality on target.
• Ensure adherence to the company's safety protocols, project specifications, and relevant regulations.
• Guide and mentor Project Engineers, aiding in the growth of exemplary future project management staff.

Candidate Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 6 years of progressively responsible project management experience in general contracting construction.
• Experience with K-12 school construction, higher education, or public-sector projects is strongly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple construction projects and competing priorities effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• A strong dedication to safety, quality, and outstanding client service delivery.
