About the Role
Join our high-achieving Quantitative Equity Team at a leading investment fund managing assets worth over $75 billion. We focus on maintaining the crucial processes that drive investment decisions, combining data analytics, financial expertise, and advanced technology to constantly develop new, valuable data products for research.
This position is based in Vancouver, BC, within a team culture that values mentorship, collaboration, and continual development.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain workflows to analyze and correlate billions of data points effectively.
- Perform rigorous quality and reliability checks on both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Identify and evaluate novel data sources for their quality and applicability.
- Review data-derived solutions ensuring they are logical, accurate, and unbiased.
- Work alongside quantitative researchers to support alpha-generating projects with your data expertise.
- Coordinate with technology teams to balance performance and operational constraints in implementations.
- Assist with deploying solutions to production and guarantee their long-term dependability.
- Create clear and comprehensive documentation to make your work accessible and transparent.
- Deliver concise and convincing presentations of your findings and suggestions to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical thinking balancing creativity and statistical rigor.
- Genuine interest in building financial knowledge to inform impactful data-driven decisions.
- Proactive self-motivation with personal responsibility for quality and punctuality.
- Enjoy working collaboratively, openly communicating complex and technical information.
- Efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Education: Minimum undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees are a plus.
Additional Information
We welcome applicants at all experience levels, including recent graduates and interns. The role offers a base salary ranging between $125,000 and $200,000 annually plus a competitive performance-based bonus, dependent on candidate experience and qualifications.
